Farm Diversification Event – Wed 5th October Hosted by BGI and Barclays

BGI & Barclays invite you to a farm diversification event on Wednesday 5th October – 2-5 pm

Demonstrations include:

• Managing hedgerow cuttings to produce energy
• Multi-fuel biomass boilers
• Biomass drying systems
• Plant and grow low-cost energy crops

Farm walk:

• View extensive trials of sustainable biomass crops including willow, poplar and eucalyptus

Find out how to:

• Utilize waste wood and other waste products on the farm to generate heat
• Open up new revenue streams by drying multiple products all year round
• Source locally available biomass (i.e. Hedge cuttings) and turn it into a fuel
• Plant and grow low cost energy crops

The event includes live demonstrations of the Farmi Forest Harvester and Valtra range of tractors

Kevin Lindegaard will be on site to talk about energy crops and the Sustainable Fuel Register.
