Eucalyptus denticulata plug plants (Errinundra shining gum)

Plug plants are 10-20 cm high seedlings grown in trays of small cells. They can be planted directly in the ground. There are 100 plug plants in a tray. Eucalypts should be planted at at a minimum of 1,667 plants per hectare although for short rotation forestry and in exposed conditions they will fair better at stocking densities of 2,000 – 2,500 per hectare. This species is well suited to temperate climates with cool wet winters. In southern England these can produce very high yields up there with E. nitens.
