Bred in 1993, AF8 has become the leading variety in Europe in terms of planted surface. It is well adapted to all soil types thanks to the marked plasticity of the plant and the tolerance to fungal diseases. It can tolerate exposure, high altitudes and drought.

In accordance with EC Regulation No. 2100/94, no further multiplication or propagation is permitted from any Plant Breeders’ Rights protected poplar plants/rods/cuttings, or each and every part thereof, whether assigned, purchased or supplied. This regulation prohibits unlicensed willow multiplication or propagation for own and others use as well as for sale.

The earliest we can dispatch poplar is December. However, we would not recommend planting before February. Optimum planting is in early March.
