AF34 (Populus x canadensis)

The most planted poplar clone for biomass purposes in all EU. Excellent tolerance to exposure, high altitudes and drought. Resistant to rust. High basal density : 0,35 g/cm3. Very straight habit and large leaves. Suitable for biomass production in England and Wales.

This poplar variety is protected by Plant Breeders’ Rights legislation. In accordance with EC Regulation No. 2100/94, no further multiplication or propagation is permitted from any Plant Breeders’ Rights protected poplar plants/rods/cuttings, or each and every part thereof, whether assigned, purchased or supplied. This regulation prohibits unlicensed willow multiplication or propagation for own and others use as well as for sale.

These varieties are dispatched from Carlisle in England
The earliest we can dispatch poplar is December. However, we would not recommend planting before February. Optimum planting is in early March.
